The Inn is in a quiet area, just a five-minute walk from the heart of old town Charlottetown. I loved the easy access to the downtown area while being able to enjoy peaceful surroundings.

Breakfast was really good, with delicious homemade options served in a nearby building. I particularly enjoyed trying different dishes, all of which were superb.

I had a mixed experience at Fairholm Boutique Inns. The location was fantastic and perfect for walking to local attractions, but some aspects of service left much to be desired, especially during breakfast. Overall, the charm and comfort of the rooms made for an enjoyable stay, though some issues did arise that could use attention.

Rooms

My king suite was spacious, airy, and decorated with antiques, making it quite charming. However, the noise from the adjoining room was noticeable, which was disappointing.
Service

The staff was mostly helpful and eager to assist, but the breakfast service was seriously understaffed, leading to significant wait times for food.

I loved the location, just a few blocks from downtown Charlottetown, making it easy to explore the area on foot.
Dining

Breakfast was included and offered a full menu, but the timing was chaotic, and it took nearly an hour to receive our meals, which was frustrating.

My stay at Fairholm Boutique Inns was a mix of pleasant moments and some unexpected hiccups. The hotel itself is historic and charming, located just a short walk from downtown. However, I encountered issues with check-in and found the room not as well maintained as I had hoped. Still, the breakfast was a highlight of my experience.

Rooms
6.0
I found my room in quite a worn condition with stained carpeting and scratched furniture, which was disappointing given the price. I did appreciate that it was spacious and well equipped, especially the bathroom.
Service
6.0
The responsiveness of the staff was commendable; they were quick in answering my calls and emails. However, the actual front desk service felt lacking since I had to locate someone from another building each time I needed assistance.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic for exploring downtown, being just a few blocks from the Confederation Center and local cafes. It's a safe area, though it felt a tad on the outer edge of the main attractions.
Dining

Breakfast was the best part of my stay; it was delicious and the staff serving it were friendly. However, the grab-and-go options left much to be desired with very few selections available.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered helpful amenities like an airport shuttle and tour assistance, which I appreciated. Yet, there was a lack of business services that made accessing a computer difficult during my stay.

My stay at Fairholm Boutique Inns was a blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The king suite in the attic was spacious and beautifully decorated. While the location was superb, I did experience some disorganization during breakfast service that dampened my overall experience a bit.

Rooms

The king suite was a spacious loft with antique furniture and modern amenities. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the jacuzzi was a good touch.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, though breakfast service could use improvement. I felt the staff needed more training during busy morning hours.
Location

The location was excellent, just a short walk to downtown and all main attractions. The beautiful grounds added to the charm of the historical inn.

Breakfast was mostly superb, with fresh egg dishes and a delicious yoghurt parfait. However, the timing of service left something to be desired.

The amenities like outdoor seating and free coffee were nice touches. Although I appreciated the location, getting my morning tea took longer than expected.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Fairholm Boutique Inns. On the positive side, the location is fantastic, being just a short walk from downtown attractions. My room was spacious and beautifully appointed, though I did have issues with the thin walls. Service could improve, especially at breakfast, where they seemed overwhelmed. Overall, I enjoyed my time but struggled with a few key areas.

Rooms
6.0
My room was large and airy with a king bed, which I appreciated after long days exploring. The stylish decor and the electric fireplace added a cozy touch, but I did find the walls quite thin, making it hard to enjoy privacy.
Service
5.0
Service was a bit hit or miss. While the team was generally friendly and accommodating, my biggest issue was with the breakfast experience. They were understaffed and it took nearly an hour to get our food, which felt very disorganized.
Location
9.0
The location of Fairholm is truly one of its strong points. I was able to walk to many restaurants and attractions in downtown Charlottetown, all within a short few blocks.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast at Hillhurst House offered delicious options with a gourmet flair, like the lobster quiche. However, the service issues detracted from what could have been a great dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were decent, but I found the coffee situation inconvenient, having to go to a different building to get some. Parking was available, albeit a bit crowded at times.
